In keeping with next year's theme, what about pajamas that have seeds, flowers, leaves, plants or tractors on them? Doesn't everyone own John Deere pajamas or is it only my husband that gives such romantic gifts?

We did have a scotch tasting about ten years ago and it was a big hit. I know that Richard Harvey would be happy to oblige if there is enough interest.

We have also had pajama storytime but it was not well enough attended to continue.

I like the idea of the pyjama party costume theme. We await the feedback from this year's conference evaluation before deciding about having a costume next year, but I think its a great idea! I'm trying to think of other ways to incorporate it - maybe a pyjama party Author's Talks? We could serve hot chocolate and have somebody "read us a bedtime story". We'll see...anyway, thanks for the suggestion. My mind is already hard at work on ideas for next year's social events. We welcome all your ideas.

Thanks for the suggestions! Interesting idea about the pyjama party! I have to say by that time in the conference wearing something that comfortable is very appealing. And I am certainly up for a Scotch tasting. (I actually think there has been one in the past.) The 2009 committee will be looking at all the ideas that members submit!

I had a marvelous time. This is my fifth time attending the conference; each time it gets better. I suspect much of that is due in part to the fact that I know so many more people. Once again the brain power at the conference was inspiring - how may brain cells were dedicated to thinking about the Minister's message???

Here's a suggestion for next year's conference - how about a Scotch tasting? I'll even offer to organize it!

Thanks very much, Betty! Most of our sessions relating to school libraries happen when the Alberta School Library Council joins us as a conference sponsoring organization. It's good to know that people are looking for sessions in this area.

Hello...the conference was excellent. The food was a 100% improvement from the last couple of years. I would like to see more sessions that pertain to school libraries and in particular High School Libraries.
Thank you and well done.

All in all, the conference was informative and thoroughly enjoyable. As a first timer, it was a little overwhelming at first but I figured things out pretty quickly. The staff of the lodge were extremely helpful and the conference staff were always available to answer questions and give directions.

I ended up attending a couple of workshops that were very informative but not pertinent to our library. In future conferences, it would be helpful if the workshop descriptions were a little more in depth or rated by library size so that I could choose those ones that would be more beneficial to my library size. Maybe the workshops could be more generalized in their topic so they would cover all sizes of libraries.

Finally, as this was my first conference I have never had the pleasure of atending the coustume party but I wanted to suggest a costume theme of a pajama party.

Looking forward to next year.

The Banff-Jasper Highway was clear and only a couple of flurries that lasted very little time along the way.
