Let’s Make Some Noise at the Silent Auction!

The Alberta Library Conference 2003 is hosting a Silent Auction to raise funds for author talks for ALC 2004. The items will be on display in the Main Lobby and in the Exhibit Hall. You can help by stopping by the auction to bid on some great items. Whether you’re shopping for your library, yourself, or for that great gift, we have an item that’s sure to be just right! The items we've collected so far include sculpture, pottery, paintings, needlepoint, gift baskets, soapstone carvings, dried flower arrangements, candles and much more, many hand-made by your colleagues in the library community.

  • The silent auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m.
  • A bid sheet will be displayed with each item. Minimum bids and acceptable increments will be noted on each sheet. Once a bid sheet is signed, it is deemed binding.
  • The last signature (and the highest valid bid) on the bid sheet will determine the winning bid.
  • After the auction, go to “The Bank” set up in the Lobby to pay for your item. The Bank will be open at 9:30 p.m. All items must be paid for and picked up by 10:30 p.m. Payment can be made with Cash, Cheque, Visa or MasterCard.

Be sure to stop by to see the entire selection. Thank you everyone for your generous donations!
